The LTS Team

Miles Lawrence, EA, Esquire

Miles holds two professional licenses that allow him to serve client needs: (1) Enrolled Agent is a federal license that authorizes him to practice as a tax preparer and perform the vast majority of tax work that LTS clients require; and, (2) Attorney is a State of California license that also qualifies him to represent LTS clients before the US Tax Court and perform other tax controversy or tax advocacy work if necessary. Both licenses complement each other and provide an excellent background when managing LTS and working with our LTS clients in relation to tax matters and the broader spectrum of issues that touch the area of taxation including estate, financial and asset protection planning.

Thank you for entrusting Lawrence Tax Service for your tax preparation needs. We know you have many professionals to choose from including the debate of whether to attempt your own tax preparation. Frankly, some of you may have never heard of an Enrolled Agent which is the primary certification for all LTS practitioners. Enrolled Agents specialize on income taxes. Becoming an Enrolled Agent involves passing a three-part examination given by the IRS for which the passing rate percentage is only 56% of test takers. On average, the professionals at Lawrence Tax Service complete over 120 hours of continuing education every year despite the EA requirement of only 72 hours every three years. Why go so far beyond? Because we feel this amount of education is necessary to stay current with the ever changing tax laws, and is a resource to strategize relative to our clients’ individual tax situations.
